Recognition and Awards to the Women in Science Day Program
For a quarter century, the Association for Women in Science of Central Ohio has sponsored Women in Science Day at the Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. The purpose of the program is to encourage hundreds of Ohio’s talented girls to pursue careers based on science, thus working to remove barriers to women’s equality in the Ohio workforce. Publicity through the Ohio Department of Education ensures that teachers are aware of the program, with schools from across the state vying for coveted seats in the program.
